Yankees regulars Robinson Cano and Melky Cabrera finished the regular season for their respective Dominican Winter League teams this past week.

Cano (playing for Estrellas) finished with a .267 average, hitting 1 Hr, 8 doubles, 15 RBI, 14 runs, an OBP of .333, and 7 strikeouts against 7 walks.  Cabrera (playing for Aguilas) finished the regular season hitting .312, with 1 HR, 12 rbi, 19 runs, 6 doubles, an OBP of .393.

Cabrera’s team made the playoffs. In his 1st game he was clutch, hitting 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, walk, 2 RBI, and 3 runs scored.

In the Puerto Rican League, Bernie Williams has gone 0-4 with two strikeouts in his last two games.  Three games in, Bernie is now 1-7 with a single.  He is attempting to make the Puerto Rico team in the WBC this March.
