The Yankees’ farm system dropped from #5 last year to #15 this year.

According to the folks at River Ave. Blues, the addition of Ian Patrick Kennedy and Joba Chamberlain to the main roster and the loss of Jose Tabata, Ross Ohlendorf, Dan McCutchen, and Jeff Marquez to trades dropped the Yankees down to the middle of the MLB.

I’m not too concerned, especially with Boston’s farm system dropping from #2 to #9 as well. The Yankees do have a lot of good prospects (compared to the early part of this decade), but most of them are in A or AA ball.
