Under a new plan to have Metro-North trains deliver fans from Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess Counties in New York and Fairfiled and New Haven Counties in Connecticut, fares will only cost riders $1 more then the current prices for a trip from their station to the new station at Yankee Stadium.

While the new station is not scheduled to open until May or possibly June, the MTA expects 10,000 fans to take advantage of it on game days – I plan to be one of them.  The new station will be along the Hudson line, which services as far north as Poughkeepsie, NY.  The riders of the Harlem Line (Eastern Westchester and Dutchess Counties) and the New Haven Line (Conneticut) will need to transfer to a shuttle at 125th st to get to the stadium.
