The Washington Post is reporting that Roger Clemens’ DNA was found in syringes that Brian McNamee says he used to inject Clemens with HGH.  The Post has not identified their sources, but has said that the tests are still in the preliminary stages and are still waiting for verification tests.

The results of the test are important because they could effect the case against Clemens for lying under oath when he testified at a congressional hearing in 2008 claiming he never used HGH.  A Federal Grand Jury  has been convened in Washington DC to look into the matter.

Clemens’ attorney, Rusty Hardin, seems to think it will have no impact.  “It will still be evidence fabricated by McNamee,” Hardin was quoted as saying. “I would be dumbfounded if any responsible person ever found this to be reliable or credible evidence in any way.”
