According to Tyler Kepner from the Times, A-Rod’s press conference will take place along the third base line on the field at Steinbrenner Field at 1:30 pm on Tuesday.

A good number of Yankee players will be there, including Jeter, Rivera, Pettitte, Posada, Teixeira, Sabathia, Burnett, Cano, Bruney, and Chamberlain.

Manager Joe Girardi says that it is by their choice that the players be at the conference.

“Guys are just rallying behind Alex on their own,” Manager Joe Girardi said. “This is what they’re choosing to do, and I think it’s a wonderful thing. It’s not something that we’re banging on the drums saying, ‘Let’s have some support.’ Anyone that wants to go can go. It is their option.”

In a way, this is good. It shows that the team is behind A-Rod. Although the front office is deeply pissed off at what happened, they are hoping that tomorrow will push back the problem under the rug, but it will probably not happen, especially with Selena Robert’s book about A-Rod hitting the shelves on April 14.
