Over the years, there have been documented cases of Red Sox and Yankee fans beating up each other in bars or other public places. Often these guilty parties get criminal consequences.
Last July, a native New Yorker went up to Robert Correia, a native of Massachusetts (and a Red Sox fan), asking him to stop taunting people with NY license plates. Correia attacked this New Yorker with a baseball bat.
A judge did not give him a jail sentence. Instead, Correia got a slap on the hand and a warning to stay out of trouble.
Sick. Just sick.
