Spring Training Game 6 – NY Yankees vs. Houston Astros

Chien-Ming Wang pitched two scoreless innings today.  His formerly-injured right foot looked fine and his pitches seemed to hit their mark.  Wang had no strikeouts in the two innings.  This was his first game since getting injured running the bases against Houston last season.

The game was called with the score standing at 5-5 after 9 innings.  Before the starters were pulled after the fifth inning, the Yanks led 5-2.  Pitcher George Kontos allowed 3 runs to score in the bottom of the 8th, although the Yanks defense wasn’t helping.

Melky Cabrera was 2-3, with 2 RBI and 1 run scored and Johnny Damon was 1-3 with a strikeout and a run scored.
