I’m sitting in Central Maryland right now, about 45 minutes from Camden Yards in Baltimore and it is raining lightly, but steadily.  A quick look at the radar on http://www.weatherunderground.com shows a thin band of showers over Maryland currently, with another, more thin band coming later on today.

We might not have a straight out cancellation, but possibly a rain delay before or during the game.  I certainly hope its not canceled, I drove 5 hours for this game and I am too geared up for it!  Chris and I will be heading to Baltimore around 11 or so to visit the Babe Ruth Museum and more before the game.  Chris will be posting updates on twitter before and during the game.  I’ll bet our updates on Twitter will show up before the action on TV due to the few second delays.

In related news, VP Joe Biden is scheduled to throw out the first pitch at today’s game, the first time a sitting Vice President has done so.  This will be only the fourth time in history that the Yankees have opened the season against the Baltimore Orioles and are 1-2 against the franchise.  Hopefully, the team can even out those numbers today.

CC Sabathia will start on the mound for the Yankees and Jeremy Guthrie for the Orioles.

Keep your fingers crossed, or pray for clear skies!!
