Much is being said on television and in print about Aubrey Huff’s mocking of Joba Chamberlain’s fist pumps.
Yesterday after hitting a three-run homer in the first inning, Huff pumped his fist twice, once when he arrived to first base and again when he crossed home plate. Joba didn’t see these, but he doesn’t mind.
Why is everyone making a big deal about this? Last year, Goose Gossage said to Joba “cool it,” but Joba did not.
Heck, even CC did a fist pump on Friday night after he struck out the last batter. I saw it in person, and I pumped my own fist in sync with CC. Jonathan Papelbon pumped his fist after striking out Carl Crawford last night to preserve the Red Sox win over the Rays.
