The defending World Series Champion Philadelphia Phillies are coming into town for a three game set this weekend.  The series should be interesting and possibly could have a ton of runs.  The Yankees currently lead the AL in homers and the Phillies currently lead the NL in homers.  Yankee Stadium leads the entire world in homers allowed.   This is a volatile combination.

Both teams started the season slow, but have climbed back in recent weeks.

The Yankees have won 9 in a row and certainly have some huge momentum on their side, but we have to realize its going to end sometime – but I hope not now.  The Bombers now sit 1.5 games back of Toronto in the AL East.  The Yankees also have the best interleague record in MLB history, going 123-87.

The Phillies have won 7 of their last 10, and have used a 4 game losing streak by the NY Mets to claw their way to the top of the NL East.
