Every Monday the baseball writers at ESPN.com rank MLB teams from top to bottom.  In the most recent rankings, the Yankees are ranked third, up from seven the previous week.  Two weeks ago the Yankees were ranked 13th.  Due to their latest win streak, they have jumped up to the #3 spot.

The LA Dodgers, led by the venerable Joe Torre, held onto the top spot for the second week in a row and third out of the last four weeks.  The Boston Red Sox, fresh off series win over the NY Mets and Toronto Blue Jays, took over the #2 position from the Blue Jays, who fell to ninth.
