Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News has reported that injured pitcher Chien-Ming Wang might be done for the season due to his shoulder injury.
Wang met with Dr David Altchek, an orthopedist and the Mets team physician. Although the Yankees have not released the findings of that consultation, Wang is going to be getting a third opinion. It appears that the Yankees and Wang are trying to see if they can avoid the type of surgery that would prevent him from coming back this season.
After two weeks of resting, Wang threw catch this week and felt his shoulder bothering him again. Things are not looking good for Wang’s return this season.
