With Sunday afternoon’s game underway, Yankees Captain Derek Jeter has now played in 2,084 games tying him with Babe Ruth for fourth all-time in Yankees history.  Barring a career-ending injury in the next three seasons, Jeter will eventually be at the top of the list well before its time to retire.  He is also on pace to pass Yogi Berra by the end of this season and Lou Gehrig by the middle of the 2010 season and Mickey mantle by the end of 2011 season.
